WHERE WE ARE
Armanda affittacamere is located in Piazza Guglielmo Marconi at n. 15, which is essentially that stretch of road that leads from the famous square to the dock.
This is the part of Vernazza facing west called Lüvegu, dominated by the Doria Castle, the Saracen tower overlooking the open sea and the village.
Despite the central location (one minute to reach the square overlooking the sea and 3-4 minutes to get to the train station) the room enjoys a privacy and a silence as rare as precious.
On the opposite side of the town (the one with the church of S. Margherita di Antiochia and the bell tower) called Sciuìu, a suggestive passage between the typical carugi leads to n. 60 of Via A. Del Santo where there is Casa Giamba Bed & Breakfast.
This accommodation is slightly smaller but the quiet and privacy, thanks also to the private access that separates it from the building that houses it, are still guaranteed.
Even here a few minutes (2 maximum) are sufficient to reach the central Via Roma or Piazza Marconi.
The day of your arrival we will come to welcome you directly at the station or on the square to accompany you in your room and help you with your luggage.
HOW TO REACH VERNAZZA
The most convenient way to reach Vernazza is by train. The car, given the orography of the Ligurian territory in general and the Cinque Terre in particular, is not recommended, also because those who are not equipped with the special pass reserved for residents must park in paid areas located in the hills, about 1 km from the inhabited center.
In the summer, the many boats that link the Cinque Terre to the Gulf of Poets and the Gulf of Tigullio can be a pleasant alternative to more traditional means of transport.
BY PLANE
The nearest airports are Galileo Galilei di Pisa (tel. 050 849300) and Aeroporto internazionale Cristoforo Colombo di Genova (tel. 010 60151).
BY BOAT
In spring and summer, when the sea is calm, it is possible to reach Vernazza with one of the boats that serve as a service to many towns between Genoa and Versilia. For more information, visit Navigazione Golfo dei Poeti. website
A couple of times a week, moreover, the Consorzio Liguria Via Mare organizes embarkation from the Porto Antico di Genova (but also from Savona, Varazze, Arenzano and Pegli) towards the Cinque Terre.
BY TRAIN
Vernazza is located along the railway line Genoa-La Spezia-Pisa-Livorno-Rome.
To reach it you can arrive by Intercity trains to Levanto or La Spezia and then continue with local trains, whose travels, except for the night hours , they are very frequent, especially in summer.
During the summer, there is also a convenient shuttle service organized by the Cinque Terre Park Authority that connects Sarzana to Levanto, stopping in all areas of the area. For information and timetables see the website Trenitalia.
BY CAR
To reach Vernazza, take the panoramic Litoranea delle Cinque Terre, which connects Monterosso to Riomaggiore and runs for the most part at a height of about 400 meters above sea level. A difficult road, but offering breathtaking views.
Once you have reached this stretch, pay attention because there are no petrol stations in the Cinque Terre area. The nearest distributors are in Levanto and La Spezia.
Smoking is not allowed in the two facilities. The presence of animals is accepted.
For the structure Casa Giamba B & B, given the conformation of the inhabited center, it is forbidden to organize parties / events.
